Harare Mayor Councillor Bernard Manyenyeni, Councillors, Acting Town Clerk Mrs Josephine Ncube, Management and Staff feel sadly robbed by the death of Deputy Mayor Cllr Thomas Muzuva who passed away on 23 September.
Cllr Muzuva popularly referred by his totem ‘Shumba’ was a principled, objective, dependable and towering figure whose wise counsel and intimate knowledge of council operations helped shape the course of debate at council. He was a good listener, advisor, debater and honest servant of the people.
He joined council in 2008 and from the time he entered councillorship he never looked back. We are happy he played his part diligently and has left all of us to finish the good work we started together.
Even on his death bed he would ask about the development projects in his ward and council in general.
Our sympathies go the Muzuva family, his wife Wendy, children and residents of Ward 14 (Kambuzuma).
May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace
