A Harare City Council delegation led by Mayor Herbert Gomba and town clerk Engineer Hosiah Chisango met Finance and Economic Development Minister this afternoon to discuss an array of issues affecting the city.
The delegation also outlined how the city’s transformational agenda is contributing to the development of the country.
Deputy Mayor Enock Mupamawonde and acting finance director Mr Stanley Ndemera were also part of the delegation.
Mayor Gomba confirmed the meeting saying, “We met the Finance Minister to discuss matters of importance to the city. Among the matters discussed include the removal of penalties on our Zimra debt and how the Minister can help the city to access its money which is owed to it by Government Departments.”
“We also had discussions on the procurement of water chemicals Government debt to the city, joint ventures, devolution and how the city’s transformational agenda is contributing to the development of the country.”
