Dominican Convent Advanced Level pupils carried out an educational tour of various sites and monuments in Harare.
The pupils made a final stop at Town House where chief city planner (traffic and transportation) Ms Judith Mujegu took them through various council operations.
She outlined some of the major problems faced by the local authority which include polluted water sources and shortage of refuse collection trucks.
Mrs Mujegu and Ms Mercy Makuwatsine from the Corporate Communications Division gave the students theoretical and practical lessons on the history and current standing of Harare.
"Let us all work together in our quest to achieve a World Class City Status by 2025" said Makuwatsine.
The pupil’s toured Harare Kopje and the Central Business District.
Council continues to call upon schools to visit the city and have an appreciation of the role it plays in the day to day livelihood of residents.
