President Mnangagwa has echoed Mayor Herbert Gomba's calls for CBD buildings refurbishment.

He made the remarks when he officially opened the new Labour Court in Harare yesterday.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony of the Labour Court building, President Mnangagwa said there is need to refurbish the buildings and Harare City Council should be at the forefront, motivating building owners to freshen up their buildings.
“Harare City Council should see to it that buildings around Harare are repainted and refurbished”, he said.
However the appeal by the President to resuscitate buildings comes at a time when Harare City Council has been encouraging property owners to beutify old buildings to meet the standards of a world class city. The Mayor Herbert Gomba has been on record urging property owners in and around the city to spruce up their buildings in line with the city's vision to achieve a World Class City status by 2025.
