The Department is located inside one of the biggest and busiest City of Harare buildings that is the Rowan Martin Builing - near the Rainbow Towers and the ZANU (PF) Headquaters. It is broken down into 5 Divisions namely: Accounts, Revenue Collection,Medical Aid & Funeral Benefits, Secretariat and Supply Chain .The Finance Department has the task of collecting rates, supplementary charges and other revenue to finance the many services and facilities the Council provides and making disbursements.The department also has a printing section to provide for the Council's printing and stationery needs.
