Position Overview
Perform public health inspections, food safety enforcement, disease surveillance, and environmental sanitation controls across municipal zones.
Job Summary
The Environmental Health Inspector will enforce municipal public health bylaws, inspect commercial and residential premises, and carry out community sanitation inspections to protect public welfare.
Primary Responsibilities
- Inspect food premises, markets, and industrial sites for health compliance.
- Investigate environmental nuisances, waste management complaints, and water safety concerns.
- Conduct health education campaigns across residential communities.
- Issue compliance notices and prepare statutory enforcement reports.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Environmental Health Sciences.
- Valid registration with the Environmental Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe.
- Clean Class 4 Driver's License is an added advantage.
