Job Overview
The City of Harare is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to join the Water Services Department. The successful candidate will oversee municipal water purification systems, distribution network optimizations, and hydraulic infrastructure upgrades across the metropolitan area.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and monitor water distribution system improvements.
- Oversee hydraulic modeling and leak detection programs.
- Manage plant maintenance schedules at Morton Jaffray and Warren Control.
- Prepare technical specifications and tender documentation for engineering works.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons Degree in Civil / Water / Environmental Engineering.
- Corporate membership with the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers (ZIE) and ECZ registration.
- Minimum of 5 years progressive engineering experience in municipal or industrial water systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, WaterCAD, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
