Ward 39 Dzivarasekwa Councillor Stephen Dhliwayo says residents have welcomed improvements in service delivery. He was speaking during a feedback meeting at Dzivarasekwa 3 Community Hall on Saturday where the City outlined progress on key development projects. Addressing the residents, Cllr Dhliwayo said construction of a new water tank was about 95 percent complete and would soon improve water availability. The ward councillor urged residents to continue working with the City and the business community to further improve service delivery. Regional Manager Ms Marian Mverechena highlighted that refuse collection had improved and urged the community to uphold cleanliness in the community. District Health Services Administrator Mr Oliver Chari announced the expansion of the Community Health Equity Fund (CHEF) programme to the remaining four health districts, enabling more residents to access affordable primary healthcare services. Residents welcomed ongoing road rehabilitation works and improvements in public lighting, with three high-mast lights already installed. The residents also hailed the City of Harare and Helcraw Water initiatives in improving access to water through the installation of smart water meters and replacing old pipes with new ones.
