Council is impressed with the new Harare Quarry Board which was appointed last June.
During a tour of the plant recently councilors openly showed their appreciation of the work being done.
Business Committee chairperson Cllr Brian Matione said the board had turned around the fortunes of the city’s subsidiary after managing to repair the machines which were not working.
He said quarry aggregates were now available for sale to customers and for the maintenance of city roads.
“The committee is happy the Asphalt machine is now operational. Our duty is to make sure that the roads are in good condition,” he said.
